Tamiya Mountaineer Reissued?
News Article
This photo has been circulating the internet. It appeard Tamiya is putting the classic Mountaineer body on the new F350 chassis. Some changes from the original Mountaineer are visible in this photo. For instance, the side review mirrors are different, the top roll/light bar has clear lenses in the lights instead of the decaled original lights, and there are windshield wipers on the truck where the original had none. Like the F350, you’ll be able to order the multi-function electronics package, but I wonder what it will sound like? The real Hilux pickup only had a 4-banger in it, not the big V-8 of the F350. We should be seeing these sometime around November, 2007.

Tamiya has also issued a re-release body set for the Mountaineer. Looks to be just like the original. Not sure why the truck kit differs in some of those areas.
There are 3 bodys for the high lift. The first Ford F-350, Toyota Hilux (wich is the one in the photo) and Tundra.
