I know there are some professions that require standing for long periods (retail, hairdresser), but the attitude by Canon’s president is appalling. “Hey, how can I make my employees feel like worthless cogs in my giant coporate wheel? I know, I’ll make them stand all day, set off sirens when they walk too slow, then make their humility public when I write a book about it!”.
