Fox Valley Models Hiawatha is a DCC ready model that looks great coming down the tracks, but it’s even better when you can HEAR it coming, too! Litchfield Station LLC now offers a pre-programmed SoundTraxx Tsunami decoder specifically for the Hiawatha. See it get installed and tested in the Hiawatha in my original Hiawatha post.
I’m guessing it’s been close to 40 years or more since this vintage Estes Camroc model rocket camera has snapped a photo from on high. Is it up to the challenge 40+ years later? I wrote last week about a memory DIMM going bad in my Mac Pro. I purchased four 2GB DIMMs from OWC over two and a half years ago, but, OWC has a lifetime warranty on memory, so it was a simple matter of calling them, getting a replacement DIMM shipped, and I was back to full memory capacity by last Friday. Here in the Northeastern U.S. (and other places, I’m sure) it’s been pretty darned hot and pretty darned humid. Today we had a thunderstorm roll through in the early afternoon and our power went out for a couple of minutes. When the power came back on, it killed my Mac. (more…)
